Joshua Cantwell

Board Chair

Joshua is the Founder of Sozo Consulting, a California accounting, tax, and
management-consulting firm exclusively serving nonprofit organizations. Mr. Cantwell has over 19 years experience advising nonprofits on issues such as unrelated business income taxes, indirect cost allocations for grant funding sources, tax and information return processing, and complex budgeting to name a few. He completed his Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified in Financial Management (CFM), and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exams after graduating magna cum laude from Santa Clara University (SCU) and later received his MBA, also from SCU.

Ed McDonald

Board Member

Ed is one of the rare Abraham Lincoln-like, true-attorney who practices general law.  As part of the leadership of Calvary Church, he originally came to SVCLA to vet us, but fell in love with the wonderful people in the team and God’s vision for the power of the gospel and justice and has stayed since.

Martha Dadala

Board Member, Treasurer

Martha is a licensed Civil Engineer (PE) with over 29 years of experience designing highways, interchanges, and local roadway network. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering. Martha is currently working as a Principal Engineer at MNS Engineers Inc.  Martha and her husband Samuel have been married for 25 years and they are blessed with three daughters. Martha volunteers with Engineering Associations to inspire high school girls to take up engineering. Martha is a big believer in excelling in the marketplace while being a blessing to the community.

Sarah Wilburn

Board Member

Sarah has lived in several states and overseas growing up in a Navy family, but
currently calls the Bay area home. Sarah is a Paralegal in a local real estate firm but had other
jobs such as a Pastor, preschool teacher, and first aid/CPR instructor. She received her BA from Asbury University in KY and later graduated from school in Virginia to become a Paralegal. Sarah is also a Photographer and manages her Mary Kay business. She is active in helping her husband lead worship in churches around the Bay area with their daughter. She is honored to serve on the Board.

Josephine Jihai Park

President, Board Member

Saved by Jesus' great love, Jo founded SVCLA out of gratitude for her Savior and in obedience to His command to "loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke" (Isaiah 58.6). She received her Bachelor of Science from U.C. Berkeley in Environmental Economics and Policy in 2006, and her Juris Doctorate from U.C. Hastings College of the Law in 2010. She was admitted to the California Bar on December 1, 2010.  She has interned at the California Attorney General's Office, Logos (a Christian law firm in South Korea), and clerked at the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office. Since becoming a practicing attorney, she prosecuted misdemeanors and business code violations at the San Jose City Attorney's Office, and then worked in worker's compensation defense until 2016 when she assumed her current position as a family law litigation associate attorney at The Law Firm of J. Hector Moreno, Jr. and Associates. Jo enjoys playing the trumpet and the piano at her church, and is a black belt in taekwondo.

Haeyoung Lee

Intake/Volunteer Coordinator

Haeyoung has managed her own private law practice since 1994. She has worked in civil litigation with employment disputes with an emphasis on wage and hour law as well as family law matters around child custody and support, domestic violence and civil harassment. She is also experienced as an arbitrator, mediator, settlement officer and neutral evaluator in hundreds of cases in personal injury, employment, business litigation, family law matters including domestic violence and civil harassment. She is a graduate of The Lincoln Law School and is fluent in both Korean and Japanese.

Eric Schmidt

Chief Technical Officer

Eric worked for many years in the electronics industry in Silicon Valley. He loves using his technical skills to help others. Eric has developed and supports the SVCLA website and other tools to keep SVCLA running smoothly. He's the go-to guy for any technical issues.
